Did you know that you can link your Hogwarts house, magic wand, and more from the Wizarding World interactive site to the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy video game? Well good news – you can – and you can get started now!
The Wizarding World website – available here – was previously the Pottermore site. It’s an interactive site from Warner Bros that lets you enter into the world of the Harry Potter universe. The reason it’s so popular is that you can be sorted into your Hogwarts house, find out what your Patronus is, and learn about your unique magic wand.
The reason these items are relevant to the upcoming game is because if you’ve been sorted and have a special wand on the Wizarding World website, you can LINK them in advance and assign them to your character before the game is even released – it’s a unique way of immersing yourself more into the world. As an added bonus for linking, you’ll also get some special rewards.
In terms of timing and availability, the game is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, Nintendo Switch and PC in February of 2023.

How to Link Wizarding World with Hogwarts Legacy (Quick guide – no images)
Requirements: You must have a Wizarding World account, a WB Games account, and completed the sorting and wand ceremonies.
1) Link Wizarding World Account to WB Games
- Log in to or create a new Wizarding World account at https://my.wizardingworld.com/login
- If you have not done so, complete the Wand Ceremony and complete the Sorting Ceremony.
- Go to the linking part of the Wizarding World website: https://www.wizardingworld.com/legacyconnect
- Click the ‘Go To WB Games” button to log in or create a WB Games account: https://account.wbgames.com/home
- After you log in or create an account, it will automatically connect the Wizarding World to WB Games if you’re logged into the Wizarding World on your browser. Otherwise you may be prompted for a code.
2) Link Account to Hogwarts Legacy Game
- When Hogwarts Legacy is available and you get the game, you will be prompted to connect your account the first time you start the game.
- Visit the website URL that appears or use the camera on a device to scan the QR code. This will take you right to the URL.
- From there, you’ll get a 6-digit code to use. There will be an exclusive wallpaper to download once you’ve connected everything.
How to Link Wizarding World with Hogwarts Legacy (Guide with images)
1) Link Wizarding World Account to WB Games
First things first, you need to have a Wizarding World account, a WB Games account, and completed the ceremonies in order for them to carry over to the game. Don’t worry – it’s all pretty seamless with guided steps and easy to do!
1) Log in to or create a new account at https://my.wizardingworld.com/login
2) If you have not done so, complete the Wand Ceremony and complete the Sorting Ceremony.
3) Go to the linking part of the Wizarding World website: https://www.wizardingworld.com/legacyconnect
4) Click the ‘Go To WB Games” button to log in to or create a WB Games account: https://account.wbgames.com/home
5) After you log in or create an account, it will automatically connect the Wizarding World to WB Games if you’re logged into the Wizarding World on your browser.
Your in-game reward will appear as well and will show as ‘Connected’ in the games menu.
2) Link Account to Hogwarts Legacy Game
- When Hogwarts Legacy is available and you get the game, you will be prompted to connect your account the first time you start the game.
- Visit the website URL that appears or use the camera on a device to scan the QR code. This will take you right to the URL.
- From there, you’ll get another 6-digit code to submit. And there will be a nice exclusive wallpaper to download once you’ve linked everything up.
Get Hogwarts Legacy in-game rewards
After creating and linking accounts, you’ll get the following rewards:
- A Beaked Skull Mask to wear within the game
- By linking your Harry Potter Fan Club account: House Fanatic School Robe
After you start the game and connect, you’ll find these items in your inventory.
